2008-01-26 - The Escapist premiered at the 2008 Sundance Festival on 21 January 2008. Pictures from Sundance show Liam in attendance with the rest of the cast, and the reviews that are coming in are highly favorable, save the usual US reviewers that don't like anything not in the standard US mold.

We know Liam has a major role from the movie, and from watching the Anime, I believe his character will be "David" - who works for some cloak-and-dagger agency that sends the main character undercover to a school to hunt vampires.

2007-12-16 - Liam plays Mad Dog Maguire in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, due for late Summer 2008 release. According to the producer's blog:

Liam Cunningham who I first saw in Ken Loach’s fine film ‘THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY” turned out to be a comic revelation as “MAD DOG MAGUIRE” the mercenary pilot who flies the O’Connells into the Himalayas on their quest to thwart the Emperor Mummy. He and John made duets of laughter. You’ll see.
